PLANET ANIMATION

This is the animation produced by following the tutorial from Chapter 2 of the Derakshani text.

For this animation, I made three changes to the previous one:

​

  1. Added a nice background and colored in the Sun.

  2. Changed the planets' orbits so they rotated around the sun in different planes and different directions. 

  3. I imported a Millenium Falcon model (from here) and made it fly around the solar system and towards the sun. I did this by drawing a NURBS curve using control vertices to make a path for it to travel on, then attaching the Falcon to its path.

The scene cuts off right before the Falcon burns into oblivion because I didn't know how to animate that.
